10 Days to NYC Calumet Photo seminar: Photoshop & Photography

December 5th, 2007 · No Comments · Adobe Training, Photography, Photoshop, Upcoming Events

Thanks to the attendees at last Saturday’s seminar in Philadelphia! Calumet Photo did a superb job arranging and promoting the event, thanks to manager Gregg McIlhenney’s efforts. The time was well spent as I walked the students through 2 hours of solid Photoshop demonstration and workflow technique. I answered many questions during, and stayed to answer questions afterwards as well. Great group and thanks for the turnout!

Meanwhile if you are in the New York City area or the Boston/Cambridge region, the dates for the upcoming seminars are (click on the links for more info and to register):

FAQ: I’ve been asked what is the difference between my seminars and the all day, touring, ‘trade organization’ Photoshop shows. It’s that 1) I’m an Adobe Certified Instructor while those shows are invariably not taught by Certified Instructors, but are taught by Certified Experts, individuals who are highly skilled but not certified in adult training [there really is a difference between “showing” and “teaching”; it’s not about what the instructor knows, it’s about what you learn]; 2) Calumet Photo is hosting these events in their stores where a pro-sumer to professional audience is more likely to be the makeup of the group, and 3) Maybe most importantly, these are decidedly more intimate training sessions than sitting in a hotel or convention center theater. That translates to more information learned, more Q & A, and the opportunity for the me and the students to interact. Speaking of which, feel free to email me with any questions about the sessions.
