Re: my Luminosity Sharpening Action, available from my sharpening tutorial at the Photoshop User web site; in response to the question, “Once downloaded, how do I use the action?”:

Actually you can Load it from anywhere on your computer once downloaded, though the best place to keep an action may be in the Photoshop program folder, in the Applications folder on a Mac, or the Program Files folder on a PC, as follows: Photoshop CS3 > Presets > Actions. Whether you place the action there, or on your desktop, do the following:

1. Launch Photoshop
2. Click the drop down menu at the upper right corner of the Actions palette
3. Choose “Load Actions”
4. Navigate to the action, whether it is on your desktop, or you placed it in your Actions folder as described above. Actions end with the extension “.atn” and this action is called: Luminosity_sharpening.atn.
5. Once you’ve found the action in the Load Actions dialog, click the action and then click “Load”.
6. Your action will now be listed in the Actions palette, ready to use.
